Budongo Eco Lodge

Budongo %co Lodge is situated in the thick jungle of Budongo Forest Reserve, Murchison Falls National Park. The lodge was constructed in a bid to conserve the fragile and beautiful Eco system of Budongo forest reserve while giving its visitors a unique jungle experience. Mihingo Lodge - Lake Mburo National Park

Mihingo Lodge is located on a Kopje hill east of Lake Mburo with a breathtaking view of the lake and the surrounding plains. The sleeping tents are well furnished, set on wooden platforms with thatched roofs and their designs give a nice view over the nearby waterholes and plains of the National Park. They are equipped with an en-suite bathroom with hot and cold water showers and flushing toilets. They are also well spaced to ensure convenience and privacy of the guests.

The exceptionally good food is served in a central dining room built using rocks and natural wood. The lodge has a swimming pool where you can relax and unwind after a day’s adventure in the park. The pool also has an awesome view of the park which gives you a chance to gaze across the plains and watch the zebras,elands and impalas drinking water at the waterholes while you relax in the cool pool waters.

Thoma Community Rest Camp

Located at the entry point of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Thoma Community Rest Camp is budget lodge that provides an excellent gateway for tourists to the park. The lodge has a variety of clean and comfortable accommodation facilities to choose from. There are self-contained well-furnished tents, self-contained and non-self-contained cottages, a dormitory and several campsites. Hot water is available to conquer the evening cold weather with warm showers.

The view from the lodge is very magical especially at sunset and the lodge gets occasional visits from gorillas making your stay here very memorable. The food served is wonderful and the staff here is very attentive and caring. The money collected from the lodge is put back into the local community to fund the local hospital, school and other community based projects, so when checking in know that you are not just catering for your basic accommodation needs but also directly contributing to the wellbeing of the Thoma local community.

Chimps Nest - Kibaale National Park.

Chimps’ Nest is well located to give you a bird’s view of Kibaale Forest and its surroundings. The lodge is a popular visiting spot for monkeys and chimpanzees hence the name Chimps’ Nest. Chimps Nest is an ideal base for those heading out for chimpanzee tracking, bird watching and nature walks into Kibaale Forest.

The lodge has quality unique accommodation facilities all built using natural raw materials and powered by solar. Chobe Safari Lodge - Murchison Falls

Located in Murchison Falls National Park, Chobe Safari lodge is one of the latest additions to the growing number of luxurious safari lodges in Uganda and few people have discovered this magnificent safari lodging facility. The lodge has a magnificent waterfront view of the Nile and the great views of elephants feeding, birds, vegetation and sounds of the gushing waters of the River Nile will treat you to an adventurous wilderness experience even without leaving the lodge. The lodge is also a prominent sports fishing destination with the section of the river at this area known to be rich in fish especially the Nile Perch partly because the area has been undisturbed for several years.

The journey to the lodge takes no longer than three and half hours being only 280 km from Kampala and most part of the road is tarmac. The kind and really helpful staff will warmly welcome you upon your arrival at the lodge and continue to cater for your different safari needs during your stay at the lodge.

Accommodation
The lodge has 36 elegant rooms, 21 luxury tents, 4 suites and a presidential cottage. All the rooms and luxury tents are well furnished equipped with at least beautifully decorated furniture, an AC or a fan, constant electricity supply, hot water, an en-suite private bathroom and shower and a private balcony that commands breathtaking views of the Nile and its surroundings. Red Chilli Rest Camp

Red Chilli Rest Camp is strategically located in the heart of Murchison Falls National Park on the southern bank of River Nile to give you a full blown experience of adventure. The camp facilities are designed with an African touch. The camp has a fully stocked bar and a restaurant providing your favorite cuisines. They are both designed to give you a clear view of the Nile and the park. The restaurant serves daily from 6.30am to 9.30 while the bar closes at midnight.

The camp provides different types of accommodation facilities well equipped with the basic amenities (toilets, cooking provision). These range from the low cost well-furnished tents to the not so costly bandas. The bandas are equipped with lights, mosquito nets, linen and towels and a fan for air conditioning. The camp also gives an option of setting up your own camp with own facilities.

Nile Safari Lodge-Murchison Falls

Nile Safari Lodge is a true luxury Eco lodge located in Murchison Falls National Park on the southern banks of the river Nile. The lodge is well located with a magnificent waterfront view of the great Nile. Being an Eco lodge most of the accommodation and lodging facilities were constructed from natural raw materials such as wood, stones and thatching-grass which blends them beautifully with the natural surrounding. The lodge commands a magnificent view of the wildlife in the park and occasionally one gets to see hippos and crocodiles floating around in the Nile, herds of elephants and reedbucks grazing in the fields, the pied kingfisher darting about the on the river and baboons are frequent guest to the lodge. You get to view a lot of game without even leaving the lodge. You are warmly welcomed into this wonderful Eco lodge by the embarrassingly kind and helpful staff that continue to cater for your different safari needs during your stay at the lodge so have no worries.

Accommodation
Nile safari lodge is a low capacity accommodation facility with merely 10 rooms, which includes 5 chalets (huts) and 5 luxury tents. Each of the ten rooms is well furnished and equipped with a private en-suite bathroom and a private balcony that suspends over the might Nile. From your private balcony you are able to witness the great wonders of the African wilderness unfold in front of you. The rooms are naturally air-conditioned by the wilderness breeze that blows from the Nile and its natural environment. Hot water for warm showers is provided on request.

Located on Butiaba Rd in masindi town opposite the Murchison Falls road. It is the oldest hotel in town built in 1923 by the Uganda Railways and Harbours which was under the East African Community. The hotel was used by the merchants from southern Sudan and Northern Congo who used it as an en route point to Butiaba port where the Europeans shipped for European markets in the 20th Century. Masindi Hotel got so famous when Ernest Hemingway recovered there in a period of 1-week when he was involved in two plane crashes in Murchison Falls and Butiaba airstrip. Also Katharine Hepburn and Humphrey Bogart famous for their adventure film the African Queen also stayed at Masindi Hotel when filming the movie at Butibaba port.

Mweya Safari Lodge

Mweya Safari Lodge is suitably located for adventure in the exciting Queen Elizabeth National Park on a peninsula overlooking L. Edward and L. George. The lodge’s location enables you to easily engage in safari activities such as chimpanzee tracking, game drives, boat cruise, birding in the park and return for a comfortable and relaxing rest at the lodge. The lodge itself is always under constant ‘monitoring’ by mongoose and warthogs so even before trekking the park for game there is always game at the lodge to view.
