Queen Elizabeth together with Kyambura and Kigezi Wildlife reserve form one of the most diverse ecosystems in Africa. The park is situated in the western arm of the Great Rift Valley covering 1,978 Sq. KM.

from semi-deciduous tropical forest to green meadows savannah and swamps.

It is the home of the famous tree climbing lions as well as the Uganda kobs, various antelope’s species, topis, hyenas, crocodiles, waterbucks, elephants, baboons, hippos, buffaloes, and 10 primate species including chimpanzees and monkeys. Over 500 species of birds have been recorded like; the black bee-eater, 11 types of king fisher, and several species of falcons, eagles and the raptors and many more. One of the park’s assets is the Kazinga Channel between Lakes George and Edward which provides the launch tripe, the favorite way of viewing the game.

DAY 1: Scenic Views en-route to Queen Elizabeth National Park:
Have an early breakfast and then drive towards western Uganda. Have a stopover at the equator for photographs and have lunch en route. Ensue to Queen Elizabeth National Park following the mystical Rwenzori Mountain range for much of the journey. Have a game drive en route which will reward you with views of Lions, Elephants, Leopards, Buffaloes, Hyenas and a variety of Antelope species. Depart for sightseeing in the crater region and also visit the Katwe Salt works for a glimpse into traditional salt mining.

DAY 2: Game Drive, Launch cruise on Kazinga Channel: Have an early breakfast and then go for game drive in the park which provides excellent opportunities to see Lions, Leopards, Giant Forest Hogs, Cape Buffaloes, Elephants, Defassa Waterbucks, Uganda Kobs, Topis, Bush bucks and many more. After lunch, enjoy the unique 2-hours launch cruise on Kazinga Channel. This trip will pass through possibly the highest concentration of Hippos and many animals that may be seen drinking at the water’s edge. This launch cruise offers an excellent platform for photography, bird watching and game viewing, the climax for this Uganda safari.

Day 3: Optional Chimpanzee tracking en route to Kampala: After an early breakfast in case you so wish, proceed to Kyambura gorge for a walk to search for the chimps. The main activity here is chimpanzee tracking though the chances of seeing the chimps in this gorge are at 50-50. However, this is compensated with the presences of the other primates, and the gorge itself is a beautiful place to visit. You will then have a lunch en route on your way to Kampala. Transfer to your Hotel or to the Airport for your departure flight. Meal Plan: Full Board. Travel Time: About 7 Hours.
