Murchison Falls National Park is where the mighty river Nile explodes through a narrow gorge and flows down to become a placid river whose banks are thronged with Hippos, crocodiles, waterbucks and buffaloes.

It is a beautiful park with a variety of Wildlife includes; elephants, leopards, giraffes, buffaloes, hartebeests, oribis, Uganda Kob, Chimpanzees and many bird species including the rare shoe bill stock.

DETAILED GORILLA TOUR ITINERARY
DAY 1: Kampala – Murchison Falls National Park:
Have an early breakfast and drive through the famous Luwero triangle. A stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary enables you to have a brief tour of this Rhino restoration project. Following the extinction of Uganda’s Rhino in the early 1980s during the period of civil unrest and heavy poaching, a sanctuary established to breed black and white rhino, and restore rhino populations in Uganda’s protected areas.

Have another stopover in Masindi for Lunch. Drive to the park through the western arm of the Great Rift Valley and enjoy the beautiful falls where river Nile explodes through a narrow gorge and flows down to become a placid river with rainbow colors. You will later retire to comfort and service of your lodge.

DAY 2: Game Drive and Launch Cruise – Murchison Falls National Park: Have breakfast and drive to the northern part of the park for a game drive. View Elephants, Buffaloes, Bushbucks, Lions, Leopards, Giraffes, Hartebeests and a variety of bird species. After lunch, ensue for a two-hour launch cruise up to the substructure of the mighty Murchison Fall whose banks provide an opportunity to see the amazing hippos, crocodiles, water birds along the river banks enabling an excellent birding safari. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

DAY 3: Budongo Forest – Kampala Return Trip: After breakfast, cross the river back via Budongo forest having lunch in Masindi. Return to Kampala at leisure. However for those who are interested in chimps trekking there is an opportunity to trek in Kaniyo Pabidi – Budongo Forest in the morning before driving back to Kampala. Meal Plan: Breakfast and Lunch Travel time: About 6 hours
